This is my college roommate. It had been 10 years since I had seen her last. I met her husband and kids for the first time. They were so much fun!
I felt so lucky that she would ask me to take her family's pictures before her husband left for a year to serve our country.
We had a great time together. My sister Melanie came with me, she was a huge help. I always enjoy taking pictures with Melanie.
When Melanie and I were through with this wonderful family, we couldn't help but think about the sacrifice they are making for me and the freedom that I enjoy.
"J" will be gone for one whole year. It was neat to capture some of the goodbye's he was giving.
My dear friend will be without her sweetheart for a while. She will be left to care for these beautiful kiddos. Please pray for our servicemen and their families. That's the least that we can do!
